Genuine VMS Racing Billet 2 Aluminum Adjustable Circuit Track Drifting Shifter This is a BRAND NEW VMS Racing Adjustable Shifter. This auction is for a RED VMS Racing PRO Billet 2 Circuit Track Drifting Adjustable shifter. The VMS Racing adjustable shifter bodies are manufactured completely from billet AL7075-T6 Aluminum. 7075-T6 Aluminum has an ultimate tensile strength of 74,000–78,000 psi (510–572 MPa) and yield strength of at least 63,000–69,000 psi (434–503 MPa) which is comparable to steel, but at a fraction of the weight. One interesting use for 7075 is in the manufacture of M16 rifles for the American military. Each shifter body is beautifully anodized for maximum durability. The VMS Racing PRO Billet 2 Adjustable B/D series shifter was designed after we received a bunch of inquiries from the drifting and circuit communities that they wanted us to make a longer shifter for them. It seems that our earlier adjustable shifter was just not long enough for their needs. So our Pro Billet Adjustable Shifter was completely redesigned into a much sturdier and longer unit to fit their needs. This new shifter is now only height adjustable, but it will go up to 4″ inches higher than the previous version, the offset elbow can no longer be rotated as this part of the old design would not tolerate the increased leverage from the longer length. the pivot ball is still adjustable up or down up to 2 1/2″ inches. The adjustable pivot ball allows the racer to thread the pivot ball higher or lower on the shift rod. If you thread the pivot ball higher it shortens the shift throw, lower it makes it longer. Only the highest quality military grade aluminum, stainless steel and steel hardware is used to ensure the shifter will last even under the harshest of racing environments. All necessary hardware, spacers and allen keys are included in this kit. This is the best bolt on shifter upgrade for B and D series engine setups. .
