Up for purchase is an original US Navy issue SPH-3 flight helmet. This example came from a Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk pilot who was attached with HSL-44 “Swamp Fox”. This helmet retains the unit insignia as well as tape reflecting the colors of the unit. The helmet certainly shows signs of use, such as external scuffing on the paint and reflective tape, but remains in relatively nice shape. Boom mic is present. Interior of the helmet is relatively clean, with some decay of the foam present, which is typical of these flight helmets. Helmet only retains the clear visor, which moves, but is somewhat sticky. Clear visor has scuffs, as shown. This would be a nice helmet that would make an excellent display item for any helmet collection. eBay will only allow me to upload 12 photographs per listing, so naturally on some items, I cannot take as many photos as I would like on some items.
