Mike Ness is a punk rock icon, best known as the frontman and driving force behind the legendary band Social Distortion. Born on April 3, 1962, in Lynnwood, California, Ness grew up immersed in the Southern California punk scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. His passion for music led him to form Social Distortion in 1978 in Fullerton, California. From the outset, Social Distortion, under Ness’s leadership, carved out a unique niche within the punk rock genre. Their sound blended the raw energy of punk with elements of rockabilly, country, and blues, creating a distinctive and instantly recognizable sound. Ness’s gritty vocals, emotive songwriting, and searing guitar work became synonymous with the band’s identity. Social Distortion’s early years were marked by lineup changes and struggles, but they steadily gained recognition within the punk community. The release of their debut album, “Mommy’s Little Monster,” in 1983, catapulted them to prominence in the underground scene. The album’s raw intensity and anthemic songs, such as “Mommy’s Little Monster” and “Another State of Mind,” solidified Social Distortion’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Social Distortion continued to evolve their sound while maintaining their punk roots. Albums like “Prison Bound” (1988) and the self-titled “Social Distortion” (1990) showcased Ness’s songwriting prowess and the band’s ability to seamlessly blend punk with other genres. The latter album yielded hits like “Ball and Chain” and “Story of My Life,” which became staples of their live shows and helped expand their fanbase beyond the punk scene. Despite personal struggles with addiction and legal issues, Ness remained committed to Social Distortion’s music and ethos. His lyrics often drew from his own experiences, addressing themes of rebellion, heartache, redemption, and the struggles of everyday life. This authenticity resonated deeply with fans, who found solace and inspiration in Social Distortion’s music. Over the years, Social Distortion has released several critically acclaimed albums, toured extensively, and solidified their status as punk rock icons. Their influence extends far beyond the punk scene, with artists from various genres citing them as an inspiration.  Our art prints are produced on acid-free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. I use luster photo paper. If you would like a different paper (Glossy, Matte, Semi-Mattie, etc.), please reach out before placing your order. The dimension that is listed for the art prints are the size of the actual image.
 All art prints include a 1″ white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired.
 For example a 24×16 is the size of the actual image (photo), but the overall size would be 26×18 with that 1″ border included all the way around the image. Framed Prints—- The black wood frame is approximately 1” in width with a satin finish and has a 1” white mat with a black core. Sizes are for the art print (actual image) inside the frame. The size does not include the 1” mat nor the width of the frame. The framed prints come ready to hand with hanging hardware already attached with shatter-proof Perspex acrylic front. Size example: 12” x 8”. 12” x 8” is the size of the actually photo/image, add the 1” mat all around the image and then the frame width (.88”) and the total frame size would be 15.50” x 11.50”.If you would like a different color mat, different size mat, different type of frame or not mat at all, please contact me for options and prices. The framed print can vary in size depending on the type of mat/color requested. Some frames and mats are available larger than what is listed.Canvases—-These are museum quality canvases that come ready to hang.The sides of the canvas have black sides.
The image gets printed onto a premium canvas and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5″ x 1.5″ stretcher bars.If you would like the canvas rolled and not stretched onto a wooden frame, please reach out and I will quote you a price.The canvas type is matte, if you would like glossy, please contact me before you place your order.Metal Prints—Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. The image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16″ thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4″ thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results. ***Please allow a few weeks during the holiday season for production/shipping for Metal Prints.***Shipping is free to the USA only and I offer 100% guaranteed quality satisfaction!Please note that if you are not happy with your order, I will accept a return within 30 days and will either refund your order or exchange for another item of the same value.
