Fenton Set 2 Candle Stick Holders Waterlily Rosalene Pink1976-1979 Milk Glass Exquisite PAIR of CANDLE STICK HOLDERS, Hand Painted ROSALENE Pink on WHITE MILK GLASS, WATERLILY Pattern, circa 1976-1979 from Williamstown, West Virginia, USA  DESCRIPTION: This pair of candle sticks was manufactured in 1976-79 using Fenton’s Pink Rosalene color. Fenton perfected the Rosalene Pink on White Milk Glass caused by adding pure gold to an opaque glass batch and reheating the formed piece. The soft white glass struck a wonderful soft pink. Frank M. Fenton named the new glass Rosalene. No two pieces are alike as the intensity of the color is dependent on the amount of gold added. The molded pattern is called Waterlily. Please check our eBay store for our other Fenton Rosalene items. CONDITION: The condition of this Fenton candle stick pair is superb. We can find no defects or damage. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, rubbings, or scratches. (See the photos to judge for yourself.) DIMENSIONS: The candle stick has a base diameter of 5 1/4″ with a height of 3 1/4″. The top diameter is 1 3/4″. The candle depth is 1″ while the candle diameter is 3/4″. HISTORY/MARKS: The brothers, Frank L. and John W. Fenton, founded the Fenton Art Glass Company in 1905 in Williamstown, WV. The company was among the world’s preeminent producers of handmade art glass for over 100 years. The company is renowned for innovative glass colors as well as hand painted decorations on pressed and blown glassware. The company ceased traditional glassmaking in 2011 and now produces glass jewelry, beads and earrings. Margaret & Kenn Whitmyer’s Fenton Art Glass Colors states this was produced from 1976-1979 as it is stamped Fenton in oval on bottom with no single digit to denote the decade produced.
