2014 Fender Limited Edition60th Anniversary American Vintage 1954 Stratocaster2 Tone Sunburst Electric Guitar Made in USA Includes: Guitar, C.O.A, Tremolo Bar, Case Candy, Strap and Original Tweed Fender Case I purchased this all original guitar online brand new; it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (C.O.A). I played it briefly at home and then added it to my collection. The body shows some random scratch marks that are hard to notice. There are some surface finish cracks in the nitrocellulose on the back of the body that are not deep. There is a crack that goes through the middle of the volume knob but doesn’t affect the playability. I don’t see any dents or scratches of any kind on the body and neck. The frets look good but the strings should to be changed. This guitar has been setup with very low action. The “U” shaped neck is extremely easy to play. There is a beautiful 2 tone sunburst finish that shows off the gorgeous ash wood grain underneath. The offset double cut away strat-style ash body is based on a 1954 Stratocaster, bolt-on maple vintage C-shaped neck, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays, 1950’s Strat-style headstock, with a 1954 button string retainer, 6-on-1-side tuners, vintage-style vibrato, 1-ply white pickguard, 3 single coil 1954 Stratocaster pickups, 3 knobs (volume & 2-tone), 5-way pickup switch (optional 3-way pickup switch included), chrome hardware, available in 2-color sunburst finish, 25.5 inch scale, 1.65 inch nut width, and the replica 1954 reproduction paper work included. Also this guitar is very light for an ash body guitar at 7lb 9oz.All electronics check out. This is a very accurate replica of the original Fender 1954 Stratocaster and is 1 of only 1,954 built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Fender Strat. In most people’s opinion this is of Custom Shop quality with a very thin nitrocellulose finish, 2-piece ash body with an off center seam, correct plastics which include tall boy knobs, football switch tip, round backplate holes for the strings and rounded pickup covers. A chunky “U” shaped neck and rounded headstock edges have been crafted as identical components to a 1954 making this guitar very authentic. The original Fender G&G tweed case is in excellent condition with all feet and hardware intact and working.
